Flash Demos:

Note that controls are based on Visual Boy Advance, so the GBA L button is the A key, R is S, A is Z, B is X and I have made the Start button the B key. Make sure to click on the Flash files that appear to give them 'focus' so that your keystrokes are recognised.

Eating Game: As part of learning about the food-chain, control the bird and eat as many worms as possible in the time available as they appear.

Information and Communications Technology in Schools and Education: Are Portable Gaming Platforms a Viable Learning Resource?:
A researched look at how ICT is currently used in education. Are schools interested in using new technologies and how are they implemented, both logistically and financially? Also, what are the views of the government and the tech industry on providing schools with equipment for learning? Finally, could portable gaming platforms, such as Nintendo's GameBoy Advance, be a successful medium for delivering learning content, especially when compared to more traditional mobile computing hardware, such as laptops and PDA's?

What do you see as the greatest obstacle (economic, social, political, institutional) impeding the widespread adoption of digital games in education? Discuss what steps could be taken to overcome that obstacle:

Interface Design for Effective e-Learning: What Lessons can be Learnt from Game Design?:
A look at examples of how game titles for the GameBoy Advance handheld make effective use of the small display area in getting information across to the user. The limited controls are also taken into account. With this information I hope to then create an effective environment in other software that I create, especially in regard to the e-Learning with the GameBoy Advance project that I am currently working on. I hope others, and not just games developers, may benefit from this analysis.
